Values

Integrity

Commit to always act with integrity, be accountable, and engage in open, honest, and timely communication. I commit to delivering on my promises and establishing long-lasting relationships by gaining trust through exceptional and thoughtful engagement in and on behalf of Northern Colorado.

Service in Leadership

I will be a servant leader who focuses on the growth and well-being of the people whom I serve. Commit to a listening-focused approach to policymaking, whereby the needs of the community come from the bottom up rather than the top down. Leaders like me are inspired by a purpose beyond themselves.

Belief in Children

All children are capable of achieving greatness, and deserve the greatest possible chance in life, including access to quality education, healthcare, and a clean environment. It is our responsibility to create a positive world where they can flourish. As a foster parent and former homeless child, I have seen firsthand the consequences of children who have been failed by systems and policy that does not understand how to serve them.

Optimism

In today’s volatile political environment, we must choose to look to the future with optimism and a vision of where we want to be. I live by Nicholas M Butler’s words, “Optimism is essential to achievement and it is also the foundation of courage and true progress.”
